Works by Dia al-Azzawi, including Mission of Destruction and Victim’s Portrait, appear in the group exhibition, Theater of Operations: Gulf Wars 1991 – 2011 at MoMA PS1.

Exploring the legacies of American-led military engagement in Iraq, beginning with the Gulf War in 1991, over 100 artworks by more than 50 artists demonstrate the wide-ranging effects of these conflicts on artists in Iraq and the diaspora, as well as artists responding to the war from the West.
